Faris Al Mazrui of the United Arab Emirates is arguably the player with the best sportsmanship in this tournament. After finishing the second round today, he "confessed" to the referees that he should be disqualified because of scoring errors in the second round but since he erroneously reported his score in the 9th hole at the first round yesterday. He played six shots but mistakenly remembered it as five and his scorer did not recognize the mistake. Therefore his overall score should be 91 and he should be subject to disqualification (DQ) due to this mistake according to rules.

He suggested the tournament's organizing committee to give a best sportsmanship award to the UAE team.
At the end of two rounds of the tournament, it is evidenced that the players are of different calibers. Some of the players participate in the tournament to gain more competitive experiences as the Mongolian players with their three-digit strokes in the previous two days. Some other local amateur golfers playing at the Sunrise, after seeing such scores, joked that they should go to Mongolia to vie for a spot in the national team.

During the past two days, the highest stroke on a single hole is 15 made by Mongolian player Munkhbaatar Boldbaatar at par-3 16th (161) as there is a large pond in the green and his several previous tee-shots all went into the water and he didn't make it on the green.

Meanwhile, Arvind Lal of Fiji, who is at the same group with Chinese Taipei's Tao Huang, tried three times before finally hitting the ball on the fairway at par-5 18th hole. His previous swings were out of bound and the ball was nowhere to be found and he had to walk back to the tee box and tried it again. The repeated procedures were time-consuming and exhausting and therefore he decided to let the next group go first. Lal played several penalty shots on this hole-- a total of 13 shots -- and his score today is 92, ten strokes higher than yesterday.
